CARL H. BENNETT, DC
CHIROPRACTOR AND CLINIC DIRECTOR

Dr. Carl Bennett graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1985 from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Life Chiropractic College, as it was called then, is still the largest chiropractic college in the world. Dr. Bennett’s chiropractic treatments include full-spine manual adjusting, extremity adjustments, spinal traction, manual therapy and spinal rehabilitation. Patient education is a major part of your experience at Bennett Chiropractic Clinic. Dr. Bennett takes time to listen, examine and educate patients during a one-on-one consultation and report of findings. The mission of Bennett Chiropractic Clinic is to assist each patient in obtaining long term health and wellness, and to assure that each patient’s health span is equivalent to their life span.

Dr. Bennett was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. After graduating from Mainland High School, he attended Daytona Beach Community College and earned his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College. After a serious car accident at age 20, Dr. Bennett discovered first-hand the impact of chiropractic through his recovery. While pursuing his doctorate of chiropractic, he met and married his wife, Sherrie, also from the Daytona Beach area. They now reside in Port Orange and are the proud parents of three grown children. They are blessed with three beautiful granddaughters, their pride and joy. Dr. Bennett also enjoys fishing, being outdoors, playing the guitar, traveling, and entertaining many with his John Denver Tribute Shows. During his free time he can usually be found working in the yard, reliving where he spent most of his youth in the plant and nursery business.

JESSE SLINGER, DC
CHIROPRACTOR

Jesse Slinger, D.C. was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was a 2-sport athlete in high school playing football and baseball. He continued his education and baseball career at Youngstown State University and Lock Haven University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical. It was through baseball that he discovered his love for Biomechanics in sports and the natural healing process of the body. Instead of continuing his career in baseball, Dr. Slinger began his journey towards being a chiropractor with the plan of giving back and helping the community by attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida.He graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic and finished with more than a 3.5 GPA.

Dr. Slinger actively works to incorporate human motion, rehab, chiropractic, and soft tissue work that is catered to each individual patient’s needs. He specializes in Biomechanics and shoulder mobility and has extensive knowledge of nutritional supplements from working in nutrition for three years. Dr. Slinger provides care to all ages and strives to bring health to his patients so that they can live their best life pain-free.

SHERRIE GOULD,
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Our office manager, Sherrie, will cheerfully greet you when you call or visit Bennett Chiropractic Clinic. Her upbeat attitude and friendliness, as well as her commitment to each individual patient, make her an integral part of our team. She comes to our office with more than 24 years experience in the health and medical field. Sherrie enjoys making people feel welcome and confident that they are in good hands at our clinic. She will assist you in filling out paperwork, making appointments, filing insurance, and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Sherrie is married with two daughters, and is the proud grandma of four grandsons and twin great grandsons.

Tara Doerr,
LMT

Tara Doerr, LMT, has always had a passion for health and wellness. While in school for her bachelors degree, she worked as a certified personal trainer, specializing in functional training. After graduating with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Tara then secured her license in Massage Therapy and opened her own practice, Elation Life Massage. Now Tara is in Port Orange studying at Palmer Chiropractic College where she can gain even more knowledge to help and care for the people she serves. She is continuing her practice here as an LMT and specializes in trigger point therapy/neuromuscular style massage for therapeutic purposes to help clients achieve relief.

Outside of work and school, Tara enjoys participating in adult gymnastics. She has been a gymnast since childhood and plans to keep it as a hobby. Tara has been married for more than three years. She and her husband have four cockatiels and are very passionate about all kinds of birds.
